Ware County Schools has launched a districtwide Logo Design Contest as the district begins a new chapter under the leadership of Superintendent Dr. Lynn Barber and the Board of Education’s recently adopted five-year strategic plan.
Dr. Barber stepped up from his post as Assistant Superintendent and Director of the Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education program to replace Bert Smith, whose retirement was official November 30.
The logo design initiative is an opportunity to refresh the system’s visual identity while engaging the broader community in a meaningful and creative way.
The project invites students, staff, families, alumni, and community members to submit original logo designs that reflect the spirit, vision, and mission of Ware County Schools. The winning design will be featured across all official district communications, and the designer will receive a $500 prize package.
Deadline to submit entries is 5 p.m. Friday, June 27 by email to feedback@ ware.k12.ga.us with logo design contest submission and the designer’s name in the subject line.
The winner will be announced later this summer.
The image should represent the entire district — academics, arts, athletics student life and staff. It must include “Ware County Schools” or “Ware County.”
The logo also should reflect the system’s:
• Vision to be a premier system where schools are safe, caring environments and high expectations promote opportunities for lifelong success;
• mission to empower minds and shape futures.
Designers also may want to consider incorporating the system’s tagline, “We are WARE.”
