Okefenoke Rural Electric Membership Corporation Foundation recently awarded the Okefenokee Heritage Center a $4,000 grant. The funds will be used to install a new roadside sign at the front of the building. “The new sign will be installed on the front of the building in honor of our 50th Anniversary,” said OHC Executive Director Carla Garrett Cornett. “We felt it would be a great way to kick off the next 50 years.” The funds are part of OREMC Foundation’s second quarter grant distributions, which also included organizations in Brantley and Glynn Counties.
