Pate leads pledge

Pastor Morris Pate, Retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, led the pledge of allegiance at the county commission’s June regular meeting. Pastor Pate is currently serving as pastor of the Fourth Mount Olive Church in Blackshear. He was formerly employed by the Georgia Department of Human Services and the Juvenile Justice System as a substitute teacher at the local regional youth detention center. Pastor Pate (right) is presented a certificate of appreciation by First District County Commissioner Troy Mattox.
