New author Dennis Frazier will be at Abundant Life Christian Center for the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday, June 15.
The church is located at 905 Main Street, Blackshear.
Frazier, former owner of Frazier’s Appliance and Refrigeration in Jesup, and co-author Jordan Fennell published a book last year titled What He Has Done For Me, He Can Do For You.
Frazier’s story of back problems began while growing up on a ranch in New Mexico. At 15 years old, Frazier was diagnosed with a spinal disability. “(My specialist) came back and told me I had a curvature in the bottom of my spine and six ruptured disks,” he said.
For several years of his childhood. Frazier had to rely on a full back brace. He was limited in what he could physically achieve through most of his childhood years.
“I couldn’t play sports. I couldn’t ride horses. I couldn’t drive a tractor,” he said.
While helping a friend one day he fell more than a dozen feet onto the ground, he was rushed to the nearest hospital and evaluated by doctors. It was at the hospital that Frazier received his miracle of total healing.
“I can truthfully say from that day to now, I’ve had absolutely no back troubles,” says Frazier who is now 79 years old and retired after 44 ½ years of working for RYAM (Rayonier) in Jesup and is currently working 40-45 hours a week at Frazier Appliance. He and his wife are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup.
