Bikes given to top 2025 Accelerated Reader Program achievers

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Brantley Beacon received pictures last week for students acknowledged as being top achievers in the Accelerated Reader Program from the 2024 event. The Beacon regrets the unfortunate incident.

This week The Beacon is running the 2025 winners, who were presented bikes from Nahunta Masonic Lodge #391 and Hoboken Masonic Lodge #740 with help from Bill Martino, Ace Hardware, JD Brooker and Michael Brooks.

Receiving the 12 bicycles were Ed Hinds, a kindergarten student at Nahunta Primary School; Bowie Herndon, a first grader at Nahunta Primary School; Ethan Sandiford, a third-grade student at Nahunta Primary School; and Angelina Pittman, a fifth-grader at Nahunta Elementary School; Lauren Rentz, a kindergarten student at Hoboken Elementary School; JD Strickland, a first grade student at HES; Bazley Harris, a second grader at HES; and Chris Guzman, a thirdgrade student at HES; Ezra Cavagnaro, a kindergarten student at Waynesville Primary School; Sean Spain, a first-grader at WPS; and Paul Tillman, a third grade student at WPS; Jada Woodall, a fifthgrader at Atkinson Elementary School.
