Victor Aldridge, Sr., president of the Ware County Georgia Farm Bureau Board of Directors, presents a $2,000 Georgia Foundation for Agriculture Scholarship to Amiyah Elam, who attends the University of Georgia. The daughter of Wally and Ambi Bess of Ware County is pursuing degrees in social entrepreneurship for consumer well-being and agricultural communications. Elam is a member of UGA Collegiate 4-H and was on the UGA Model United Nations Travel Team, UGA Minorities in agriculture and Natural Resources and the UGA Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. The scholarships are given to rising juniors and seniors in agriculture to continue their studies at a college in the University System of Georgia, Berry College, Emmanuel University, or a school in the Technical College System of Georgia.
