Waresboro Elementary cited for achievement in literacy

Waresboro Elementary was recognized with the Georgia’s Literacy Leaders banner for exceptional achievement and growth in literacy and mathematics. The school also was recognized as Masters of Mathematics. Waresboro Elementary is one of a small number of schools in the state to achieve this dual designation. Students’ scores in 3rd grade literacy scores went up 11.9 points and 5th grade 21.2 points. Pictured are State Supt. Richard Woods, Riggs McQuaig, Krystal Johnson, Rep.
