Minn. teen clocked at 134

NAHUNTA — A Minnesota man is facing four charges after being clocked at 134 mph on his motorcycle.

Mitchel Crews Rateliff (6-foot-4, 195 lbs.), 19. of Lakeville, Minn., was driving an unidentified motorcycle west on Hwy. 82 Saturday afternoon, May 31 at a high rate of speed.

Brantley County Deputy Conner Steedley clocked Rateliff at 134 mph.

“We were never officially in a chase,” said Sheriff Len Davis.

Nahunta Police Chief Brad Todd was able to make the stop at Burton Terrace.

Rateliff, a cop in the Air Force, was charged with Speeding in Excess of Maximum Limits (State Speed and Zone Limits), Reckless Driving, Missing/Defaced/ Obscured License Plate and Unlawful to Possess, Display, or Use Any False, Altered Identification Document.

Lee’s Towing picked up the motorcycle.

All charges will be heard in Superior Court. No bond has been set.
