NAHUNTA — Richard Alan Broz, 87 of Nahunta, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his residence

following an extended illness.
Born in Cleveland, OH., his parents were Joseph Broz and
Broz
Jessie Hollacker Broz Riboczi. Broz was also preceded in death by a brother, Joey Broz.
Broz was a jet mechanic and served 22 years in the United States Navy. He was a Philatelist, a champion figure skater, and also a craftsman who could build anything. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Thrift Broz of Nahunta; his son and daughter-in-law, Alan Broz (Monique) of Brunswick; daughter and son-in-law, Karen McGill (Danny) of Hoboken; four grandchildren, Johnny Broz (Anita), Chauncey McGill (Chelsea), Trevor McGill and Emily Smith; four great grandchildren, Laloni McGill, Abygale McGill, Jade McGill and Jill McGill; one sister, Arlene Dixon of Hebron, Ohio; special sister-inlaw, Doline Walls of Nahunta; and a special brother-in-law, Roger Thrift; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, June 4, 2025) from 9:30 a.m-10:30 a.m., at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
A funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, June 4, 2025) at 10:30 a.m., at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Kennedy and Rev. Glenn Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in Dowling Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be Jade McGill, Chauncey McGill, Paul Smith, Candice Bass, Wesley Albritton, Robert Clay and Steve Thrift.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
