BRUNSWICK — Doris “Dot” Guest Fender, also known as “Mama Fender”, 80 of Brunswick, departed this life Saturday, May 24, 2025 at SGHS Brunswick Campus.
Born January 24, 1945 in Stockton, Ga., to the late Lee L. and Margaret J. Guest, Mrs. Fender was a homemaker and had been a resident of Glynn County since 1966. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in
Fender
Brunswick.
Mrs. Fender enjoyed cooking for family and friends, sewing and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lewis Fender; and two brothers, Truman and Ed Guest.
Survivors include a son, Stacy Fender of Brunswick; a sister, Betty J. Griffis and husband Terry of Naylor; several nieces and nephews; and an honorary daughter, Winnie Turoski of Hortense.
A funeral service was held Friday, May 30, 2025 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Willie Walker, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Ric Guest, Cory Guest, Doug McEntyre, Bill Gunn, Scott Stradtman and Michael Williams serving as pallbearers.
