WAYCROSS — Homer Lee Bradwell, 66 of Waycross, died Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2025 at Memorial Satilla Health after a sudden illness.
Bradwell was born in Waycross to the late Richard Monroe Bradwell and Elga L. Mosley Holt and made Waycross his home for most of his life. He went to Ware County High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He loved climbing trees which led to a lifelong career as a local arborist.
In addition to his father, Homer Lee Bradwell is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Lacey; and a brother, Jerry Edward Barber.
Bradwell is survived by his daughter, Vicki Crawford and husband Ira of Hoboken; two grandsons, Jason Jordan and wife Makenzie of Waycross, and Jonathan Jordan and wife Christina of Waycross; many great grandchildren; his mother, Elga Holt of Waycross; three siblings, Debbie Jones and husband Ronnie of Yulee, Fla., William Barber of Waycross and Beverly Velazquez of Nahunta; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
