Charlie Giving Back has food giveaway Charlie Giving Back community outreach holds its holiday food giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at E.E. Moore Park.

The first 300 will be served. Recipients need to bring boxes to carry away the items.

Pleasant Valley holds VBS June 1-5 Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 7136 Central Avenue, holds Vacation Bible School Sunday-Thursday, June 1-5 on the church grounds.

The program, themed “Wonder Junction” will be 6-8:30 p.m. each day for ages pre-k through adult. Dinner is included each evening.

There will be crafts, games, music and Bible stories. Registration forms are available at the church. Call 283-2577.

Eleven 22 to meet at Book & Bean The Church of Eleven 22 will meet at 10 a.m. every Friday at The Book & Bean Coffee Shop, 629 Main Street in Blackshear.

A program of fellowship, worship and praise will take place.

Holiness Camp has June revival Okefenokee Holiness Camp, 2114 Russell Road, will hold a camp meeting revival Sunday-Thursday, June 1-5.

Worship will begin at 7 p.m. each evening with the Rev. Mark Shrum from Hickory, N.C., leading the program.

Gaines Chapel sets VBS June 2-6 Historic Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church, 805 S. Georgia Pkwy. E., holds Vacation Bible School, Monday-Friday, June 2-6.

The program themed “Citizens for Christ” is for ages 5-18 and begins at 6 p.m. each evening. The Rev. Kathleen Joseph is church pastor.

St. Peters MBC has VBS June 2-6 St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Fireman Street, holds Vacation Bible School Monday-Friday, June 2-6.

The program will be 5-8 p.m. daily. Theme is Back to Basics: B.I.B.L.E. Blessings Inspiring Believers to Live Eternally.

The Rev. Dr. Norris Woods, Sr., is church pastor.

Waynesville MBC has VBS June 1-6 Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church, 25486 Hwy. 82 holds Vacation Bible School Sunday-Friay, June 1-6.

Program for chidlren through adults is 6:15-9 p.m. daily with dinner served. A nursery will be provided.

The church will hold a kickoff party at 11 a.m. Saturday featuring water slides and food/drinks.

River of Life starts resource program River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.

The River Missions program will offer practical life skills, hot meals, clothing and more. Next session is June 27.

Faith Outreach has Father’s Day event Faith Outreach Ministries, 200 Tebeau Street, will hold a special Father’s Day musical program at 4 p.m., Sunday, June 15.

DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
