The Okefenokee Heritage Center held a ribbon cutting last week for the opening of the traveling exhibit “Reimagine” in the facility at 1460 N. Augusta Avenue. The exhibit sponsored by the Georgia Council for the Arts is part of OHC’s 50th Anniversary Golden Bowl Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 31. Guests will be entertained with live music from the band Little Satilla and enjoy the culinary delights of Zel’s Catering. Reservations are encouraged by calling (912) 285-4260. There is no admission fee, but donations to the golden bowl are encouraged to help OHC continue OHC its work. The center is a vital part of the community’s fabric as not only the keeper of history, but for people of all ages to learn, create, and celebrate, melding history and art, education and experimentation.
