Special to the WJH The McKnight Foundation, Inc. presents the 21st annual Georgia Day Weekend Celebration Friday- Sunday, May 23-25 at various locations in Waycross.
A R&B Block Party from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday in the area of on Oak Street opens the festivities. Ladies Night will be observed with an after party to follow at The Vibe.
A full day Saturday begins with an After Graduation celebration from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Reynolds Street Park.
A flag football tournament will be included in the action.
“The Night Before Georgia Day Bash” begins at 10 p.m. at The Vibe.
Georgia Day’s “Biggest Outdoor Event In South East Georgia” begins at 3 p.m. at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds, 2401 Knight Avenue.
The event annually draws around 5,000.
