WAYNESVILLE – Shirley Ann Jones Lokey, 89 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 13, 2025 at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Longwood, Fla., Mrs. Lokey’s parents were William Louis Jones and Claudia Gertrude Drury Jones. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Paul Lokey and Charles Harold Lokey; a daughter, Cindy Ann Beasley; and a sister, Alice Anderson.
Mrs. Lokey was a retired LPN for ABC Home Health and loved cooking, gardening, listening to music especially Jazz and the Blues and watching Jeopardy.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Naves of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Lesli Capoccia, Katy Allen (Josh), Jenny Massey (Doyle) and Jessy Sconyers; six great grandchildren, Carmen Capoccia, Alex Capoccia (Emily), Caleb Allen, Sarah Allen, Emily Allen and Jackson Sconyers; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold Wilson ‘”Bo” Jones (Thelma Jean) of Blythe Island; a brother-in-law, Glenn Anderson of Yulee, Fla.; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will have a private inturnment at a later date.
