Midway Elementary School was recognized at Monday night’s school board meeting for being named as a 2025 Model School. Last year, only 13 elementary schools across the nation were selected for this distinction. Model Schools are selected and recognized for their efforts to promote high expectations for all students and are invited to share their stories of success with other schools across the nation to inspire others. Midway Elementary's story will be shared on the national stage in Washington D.C. at the Model School's Conference in June. School Superintendent Dara Bennett (far right) is shown with Midway’s leadership team (from l-r), including Assistant Principal Theresa Alonso, Principal Dr. Brandi Todd and Assistant Principal Cole Walsh.
