Tracy Lamar Knowles

 Tracy Lamar Knowles, 62, of Waycross, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Waycross Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

Born in Offerman July 6, 1962, he had lived most of his life in Pierce County. A 1983 graduate of Pierce County High School, he loved being outdoors, working in the yard and being out on the farm. He was a collector of many things, including Hot Wheels and MatchBox cars and all types of hats. He loved to sing, loved to eat and loved fire trucks. He attended Liberty Lighthouse Church. 

He was a son of the late John A. Knowles and Beatrice Griffin Woods. He was also preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Frealy Henry Bowers and Edna Louise Swarringim Bowers; one sister, Mary Hancock; three brothers, Kenneth Bowers, Paul Bowers and Harold Bowers and a very special pet dog, Andy, Jr. 

Survivors include two sisters, Frieda (David) Douberly and Thieda (David) Davis, all of Blackshear; one brother, Roy Bowers, Blackshear; two sisters-in-law, Pam Bowers, Yulee, FL and Peggy Bowers, Nahunta; one brother-in-law, Buddy Hancock, Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at the funeral home. 

Memorialization will be by cremation. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Waycross Health and Rehab and Affinis Hospice for their care of Tracy. 

Memorials may be made to Affinis Hospice, 1705 Boulevard Square, Office C, Waycross, GA, 31501.
