Daddy-Daughter dance set May 31 Fuse Community Group will stage a Royal Night Under the Stars Daddy-Daughter Dance from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at the Depot.
Cost is $20 per person by visiting Fuse Community Group on Facebook. There will be a disc jockey, photo booths, refreshments and other activities.
Juneteenth festival June 19 at Bailey St.
Love Feeds, Inc., holds its annual Juneteenth Freedom Celebration from noon to 6 p.m. at Bailey Street Park, 1300 Bailey Street.
There will be free food and drinks, live entertainment, games, a variety of vendors, and $30 free produce to senior citizens as part of the Love Feeds Senior Farmers Market.

WPD Jr. Academy signup underway
The Waycross Police Department is accepting applications for this summer’s Junior Police Academy.
The program will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 9-13. The program is free for youths ages 8-13.
Applications are available in the front lobby of the police department, 512 Oak Street. The program attracted a record 81 participants last year.
The academy is designed to teach participants about police work while having fun. Lunch is provided each day.
The program ends with a “graduation” for all participants and family followed by a cookout.

Farmer’s market for seniors June 19
There will be a senior citizens farmer’s market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday June 19 at Bailey Street Park, 1300 Bailey Street.
Those age 60 or older who meet income requirements are eligible as well as seniors 55-59 living in senior housing meeting the income criteria.
