Black smoke bellows

WAYNESVILLE — The drivers of a Prius and a semi are “lucky to be alive” after the two collided at the intersection of Post Road with U.S. Hwy. 82 Tuesday, May 6. According to reports, the 76-year-old driver of the Prius pulled out in front of the eastbound semi striking the gas tank and clipping an air hose. The semi became fully engulfed with metal melting into the asphalt. The semi was carrying two skid steers in a trailer. Only the frame of both the semi and trailer were left. The Georgia State Patrol Brunswick office was in charge of the accident and had not released a report.
