HORTENSE — Dolores “Lori” Whiteside Purdom, 59 of Hortense, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Purdom’s parents were George Whiteside and Maria Rodrigues Whiteside. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Steiger, and brother-in-law, Joseph Steiger.
Mrs. Purdom dedicated her life to taking care of others and retired after many years as a Registered Nurse.
Survivors include her husband, David Purdom, of Hortense; her son, Kevin John Burns; several grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Donna Brodmerkel (Brock) of Butler, Pa., Denise Whiteside of Meridian, Pa., and Danielle Whiteside of Pittsburgh, Pa.; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
No services will be held at this time.
