Valedictorian McIntosh, Salutatorian Sergent to lead 236 classmates
Graduation — a week early — will take place at 8 p.m. this Friday, May 16.
This ceremony will be held at Bear Stadium and will be open to the public.
Valedictorian Will McIntosh and Salutatorian Walker Sergent will lead the class of 2025. Contingency plans are in place for inclement weather. (See related story.)
The 236-member PCHS Class of 2025 includes 60 honor graduates.
Will Mcintosh is the son of Randy and Ericka McIntosh. He has one sister, Kate, a sophomore at PCHS. McIntosh is a four-year cross country athlete, was a member of the PCHS Math Team and BETA, and was voted “Most Intellectual” by the senior class. He was also the Sons of the American Revolution “Good Citizen’ recipient for the senior class and was selected by the Blackshear Exchange Club as their 'Student of the Month' during his senior year. McIntosh is an active member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear. His future plans include attending Georgia College and State University and eventually transfer to the University of Georgia to study medicine.
Walker Sergent is the son of David and Celesta Sergent. He has three sisters: Jasmine, a junior at PCHS, and Kayla and Emma, both of whom are in fifth grade at Midway. Sergent was a four year member of the PCHS swim team, where he served as captain and was a two-time state qualifier. Sergent also served on the FCA Leadership Team, Math Team and was the 2025 STAR Student for PCHS. He attends Central Baptist in Waycross, where he serves as a youth Sergent plans to attend Ole Miss University to major in biology in pursuit of a pre-med track.

At the graduation ceremony, seniors will enter to “Pomp and Circumstance.” Mary Emma Moore will give the welcome, followed by Ruthie Boatright leading the pledge to the flag. Jenna Herrin will give the inspiration.
Sergent will then deliver the salutatory address. The class song, “Wherever I Go” will then be presented by the senior class. McIntosh will then deliver the valedictory address. After the address, Bella Delaney will offer a special recognition.
“Slipping Through my Fingers” dedicated to parents of the graduating class, will then be performed by a senior ensemble. Members of the ensemble includes: Dierks Altman, Hannah Bonvechio, Zakiah Davis, Keagan Gill, Morgan Gros-Ventre, Layla Melton, Emilee Robins, Abigail Rozier, Melvin Sallet and Emma Thornton.
Senior class advisors Rebecca Baldree and John DuPont will present the Class of 2025. Superintendent Dara Bennett and Principal Kelly Murray will present the graduates their diplomas.
Ceb Carter will give the benediction.
