Pierce County Board of Education recognized employees of Blackshear Elementary School who are retiring at the end of this school year. The retirees were recognized at the May 5 school board meeting. Shown l-r are Blackshear Elementary principal Mandy Williams with retirees Natasha Carter, Lynne Thornton, Debra Herrin and Molly Sue Tatum. Not pictured is LaVerne DeLoach. The retirees were presented with a plaque and were given a round of applause and a standing ovation during the meeting.
