Martha Lee King Raulerson, 83, of Toano, Virginia (formerly of Blackshear), passed away Friday evening, May 9, 2025, at Consulate Healthcare of Windsor in Windsor, Virginia, following an extended illness.
Born May 16, 1941, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late William Hampton and Alma Crosby King. She lived most of her life in Pierce County before moving to Virginia in 2022 to be near her son. A 1959 graduate of Blackshear High School, she was a longtime housewife and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Raulerson and her brother, William “Buddy” King.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Hampton “Jim” and Pretzel Raulerson, Toano, VA; three grandchildren, Mia Torres, James Torres and Prescious Torres, all of Toano; sister, Laverne Sims, Blackshear; sister-in-law, Susan Smith King, Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery near Patterson.
