Ronald T. Davis Sr., 66, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, following a brief illness.
He was born June 29, 1958, and a life began that would leave a quiet but lasting mark. Ronald T. Davis Sr. was born in Blackshear to the late Willie and Inez Davis. He was raised in Blackshear and graduated from Blackshear High School with the Class of 1976, where he was well-known for his remarkable sense of humor and natural wit.
He was a quiet and humble man who carried more than most ever realized. Behind his calm presence was a heart full of memories, regrets, hopes and reflection. He wasn’t always the loudest voice in the room, but when he celebrated life, he’d light up the space with laughter and warmth. He held on tightly to the moments that made him feel free, and in doing so, left behind memories that only those who truly knew him could fully understand.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Leroy Gardner, Walter Lane, Shirley Lane, Rachel Davis and Jeffery Davis.
Survivors include his children, Ronald T. Davis Jr., Enterprise, AL; Darren (Koon) Harris, Jacksonville, FL and Iesha S. Davis, Ozark, AL; his grandchildren, Aniyah Davis and Tyler Davis; his siblings, Evon Brown, Benjamin Davis, Felton West, Sarah Mackey and Beverly King and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
