Griffin-Bell family reunion set May 25 The Griffin-Bell family reunion will be held Sunday, May 25 at the cafeteria of Hoboken Elementary School, 224 Church Street.

Doors open at noon. All those planning to attend should bring a covered dish for the 12:45 meal.

Smyrna Cemetery seeks donations Smyrna Cemetery Association is seeking donations for upkeep of the grounds and church.

Donations may be made to the Smyrna Cemetery Association and mailed to Barbara Norris, 601 Buck Lake Road, Nahunta, 31533.

Contributions also may be dropped off at First Bank, 13792 Cleveland Street, Nahunta or online at https://smyrnacemetery. com. Call C.R. Lynn at (912) 281-1044 with questions.

Stamp Out Hunger food drive May 10 The National Association of Letter Carriers conducts “Stamp Out Hunger,” its annual food drive Saturday, May 10.

Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food items left at mailboxes during deliveries that day. All donations remain in the community in which they’re collected.

Senior dance slated May 10

The Ware County Recreation Department is holds a senior citizen dance from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, May 10 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2110 Cecil Brown Drive.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost of admission is $7 per person. There will be light refreshments, a 5050 raffle, and DJ Fred Hand playing all the oldies.

OATH changes operating hours The Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless has changed its hours.

The new hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays. Lunch is served to homeless clients from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Daily hours 1-5 p.m. are by appointment only. The facility previously was open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

All recovery meetings in partnership with The Trust are held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Persons should ring the front door bell for admittance.
