Blackshear man faces charges in Twiggs Co.

JEFFERSONVILLE , Ga. — A Pierce County man is facing a series of charges following his arrest Tuesday by the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office.

Jerry Jason Weathersby, 5foot-9, 250 lbs., age unknown, of Blackshear was taken into custody April 22 and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony, Sexual Exploitation of Children, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and seven counts of Distributing Obscene Materials.

Weathersby has been denied bond, according to the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office Jail page.

The Waycross Journal-Herald’s attempts to receive a report of Weathersby’s arrest were unsuccessful as was a mug shot request form sent to the records clerk with the sheriff’s department.

Concept 99 Group, owners of Jerry J’s, released a statement Friday, April 25 at 8:19 a.m., via social media concerning the matter.
