Jones Herrin was the Blackshear Exchange Club’s Student of the Month for March. Herrin is a member of Beta Club. He received a certificate of merit from U.G.A and is proud to be a part of the 2023 Pierce County Bears state championship, 2025 state weightlifting champion and 2023 and 2024 first team all region baseball. His favorite teacher is Coach Swane Morris. “Jones is proof that hard work goes a long way. He can play every position we put him in for both football and baseball. His work ethic is amazing and he is just an overall very special person,” said Morris. Jones chose Coach Morris as his favorite teacher as he has taught him many valuable life lessons in the classroom and on the football field. Herrin plans to attend Georgia College in the fall and major in exercise science and hopes to become a physical therapist. All students of the month will be honored, and have an opportunity to win a Scholarship from the Exchange Club on honors day.
