
Jody Ann Cox Boatright, 71, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, following a short illness.
Born February 5, 1954, in Hunterdon, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Leslie Warman Cox. She grew up in Flemington, New Jersey before moving

Baptist to Pierce County in 1979. She was a longt ime housewife and was of the faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking care of her animals, and watching hummingbirds and NASCAR.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorie Jean Nunn; a grandson, Rylan Cooper Nunn; her in-laws, Robert Fulton and Imogene Boatright; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sherry Strickland, Gene Boatright, Lori Smith, Robert Boatright, Stacy Boatright, and Misty Carter.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Boatright, Blackshear; 3 sons, Jason Nunn (wife Paige), Waycross, Richard Nunn (wife Rachel) and Robert Nunn (wife Anna), all of Blackshear; five grandchildren, Hannah Nunn (Javon), Albany, Hunter Nunn, RJ Nunn, Rebecca Nunn, and Rowdy Nunn, all of Blackshear; sister, Patricia “Patti” Harrington (husband Ed) of New Jersey; two brothers, Clyde Richard Cox, III (wife Tracey) and Phillip “Phil” Cox (wife Debbie), both of New Jersey; a brother-in-law, Ricky Boatright (wife Janette), Blackshear; best friend, Deloris Lovell of Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Golden officiating.
