Pierce County Board of Education recognized employees at Pierce County Middle School (PCMS) who will be retiring at the end of this school year. The retirees were recognized at the April 14 school board meeting. Shown l-r are Susan Altman, Neile Bennett, Denise Brown, Lillian McCarthy, Pennie Stovall, Martha McCarthy, Amanda Turner, Tracy Reid and Deanna Lewis. Not shown are David Lanier and Henry Mackey. PCMS principal Amanda Gay gave remarks about each individual staff member. The retirees were presented with a plaque and were given a round of applause and a standing ovation during the meeting.
