WAYCROSS — Mr. Steve Lovett, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.

Lovett was born in Waycross to Billy Gene Lovett and LaVerne Griffin Lovett. He was a member of Brunel Street Church of God for many years where he was the senior adult pastor from 2009 until 2017. Lovett had attended New Life Church since 2018.

Lovett was recognized for his many years of service to the community in 2010 by earning the Jack Williams Community Service Award.
