WAYCROSS — Mrs. Deloris Evon Dixon Aldridge, 96, of Waycross, passed away Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, at the Baptist Village Nursing Home.
Born December 26, 1928 in Mershon, Mrs. Aldridge lived in Ware County most of her adult life. She had worked for Reuben Brothers Shoe Factory as well as a sitter prior to becoming a homemaker. Mrs. Aldridge was a former

member of Kettle Creek Methodist Church and currently was a member of Cornerstone Church of God.
Mrs. Aldridge loved the Lord and was faithful in not only reading her Bible but living her life for Christ. She was a very special person who loved everyone and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Aldridge was a daughter of the late Warren Russell and Rebecca Howard Dixon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Ellis Aldridge; and all four of her siblings, Hazel Varnadore, Crecy Kitchens, Ebie Lee Hamilton and Bill Dixon.
Survivors include her three sons, Robert Aldridge and Larry (Sharon) Aldridge, all of Waycross, and Ernest Aldridge of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Kim (Bradley) Gorman and Chad (Jill) Aldridge; three great grandchildren, Amelia Gorman, Caleb Aldridge and Candace Aldridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services for Mrs. Aldridge were held Monday, April 21 at the Kettle Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Varnadore and the Rev. Donnie Hamilton officiating.
