A death investigation is now underway in connection to a body discovered Tuesday morning, April 8 in a pond in the area of Doris and Sinclair Roads just west of Offerman, Pierce County Sheriff Ramsey Bennett said.
Sheriff Bennett confirmed the investigation is underway and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab has been called in to assist.
Bennett said his office currently is awaiting positive identification of the remains found in the pond. The sheriff declined to give any additional information about the case citing its ongoing nature.
