PARIS, Tenn. — David Edward Shepherd, 72, passed away at his home in Paris, Tenn., Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Shepherd was born August 20, 1952, to Iris Jeanette Rowe Shepherd and John Jordan Shepherd, Jr., in Jacksonville, Fla. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1970 and attended Palm Beach Atlantic College.
Shepherd worked with CSX Transportation for 27 years, mostly at Rice Yard in Waycross. Being a native Floridian, he loved the University of Florida Gators and moderated on GatorCountry.com for many years. Go Gators!
Shepherd is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Faith Shepherd; sons, Christopher Scott Shepherd (Traci) and Joshua Jordan Shepherd (Tricia); grandchildren, Jordan, Iris, Gideon, Grace and Sophia; brother, John Michael Shepherd, Sr. (Jennifer); niece, Michelle; and nephew, John.
A special Celebration of Life Memorial is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at Jamestown Baptist Church, 3800 ABC Avenue in Waycross. All family and friends are invited to attend as we remember our loved one.
