WAYCROSS — Mr. Allen Bryson, 84, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Baptist Village Retirement Communities following an extended illness.
Bryson was born in Appling County to the late Kermit Glen Bryson and Joe Tuten Bryson. He ret ired from CSX Transportation following 40 years of employment.
He also was the owner and operator of Bryson Studios for many years.
Bryson is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan Bryson of Waycross; two children, Tony Bryson (Gina) of Waycross and Teresa Tuten (Ray) of Hawkinsville; two stepchildren, Cynthia Woods (Derrick) of Waycross and Stacia Shepherd (late Patrick) of Louisiana; five grandchildren, Aaron Bryson (Macy), Brandon Bryson, Cole Tuten, Jake Griffin (Kasey) and Carrie Harrison (Gus); a step grandson, Taylor Reaves of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a brother, Bill Bryson (Dee) of Waycross.
A memorial service was held Monday, April 14 at
Bryson
the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
