The Blackshear Fire Department (BFD) gathered Monday evening, April 14, for the formal presentation of a $1,000 donation check from Flamin’ Smokers BBQ to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). The donation was made in honor of Pierce County’s own fallen hero, Assistant Fire Chief Leon Davis, who lost his life during the historic devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. About 20 members of the department gathered for the presentation.
