Virginia Sinclair Peacock

Virginia Sinclair Peacock, 81, of Patterson, passed away Monday morning, April 7, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Patterson, July 16, 1943, she lived in Jacksonville, FL as well as Kingsland, for many years before moving back to Patterson in the late 1990s. She was the valedictorian of her class at Patterson High School and retired from Satilla Regional Medical Center where she had been a corporate secretary. She loved working in her flower beds as well as entertaining guests at her home. She loved to sing and had been very involved in church choirs at every church she had been a member of over the years. She was currently a member of Blackshear First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Enriched Sunday school class. She enjoyed getting together with her Sunday school class to play card games and fellowship. She was a former member of the Blackshear Lions Club.

She was the daughter of the late James Ottis and Bertha Lee Griffis Sinclair. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Benton Peacock and two brothers, Jack Sinclair and James Sinclair.

Survivors include her three sons and daughtersin- law, Keith and Judy Peacock and Mike and Karen Peacock, all of Blackshear and Gary and Christy Peacock, Woodstock; three brothers, Tracy (Debra) Sinclair, Blackshear, Curtis (Linda) Sinclair, Patterson and Eugene (Kathy) Sinclair, Traverse City, MI; seven grandchildren, Brittany Peacock, Christian Peacock (Cheyenne McDuffie), Justin (Jessica) Peacock, Storm (Deanna) Peacock, Jonathan Goodin (Stephanie Allen), Alyssa Peacock and Morgan Peacock; nine greatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, from the Pearson- Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bill Young and Pastor Steve Dees officiating.

Interment followed in the Blackshear Cemetery.
