Paul Vernon Webb, 87, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, April 13, 2025, at Satilla Bluffs Senior Care following an extended illness.
Born September 4, 1937, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Vernon E. Webb Sr. and Emily Holland Webb. He grew up in Pennsylvania and lived many years in Rome and Moultrie and was retired as a city foreman for the City of Moultrie. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army and was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Martha Webb, Homerville; three children, Paul Price Webb, Cocoa, FL, Lori Thompson, Homerville and Brian Vernon Webb (fiancé Wendy Renedo), Statesville, NC; eight grandchildren, Jacy Webb (wife Desire), Merritt, FL, Brean Webb, Statesville, NC, Trey Thompson (wife Timary), Blackshear, Tessa Thompson and Tristin Thompson, both of Brookhaven, Abbigale Macho (husband Michael), Senoia, Claire Webb, Statesville, NC and Kyle Webb, Charlotte, NC; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Webb Jr., Statesville, NC and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A private family memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26.
