A huge crane has been moved in near the CSX Railroad trestle and the U.S. Highway 84 bridge over the Alabaha River just east of Blackshear. A CSX representative confirmed to The Times the railroad is doing a “bridge project” at the site and will be working there until August. The work will reportedly include both replacement and rehabilitation to the tracks and decks on the span of the trestle.
