Fundraisers are being organized to help one of our own, Traci Bowers Howard.
Howard, wife of Lee Howard and mother of McCoy and Malone, suffered a spinal cord stroke recently. She was hospitalized and later transfered to a rehab center.
Howard is currently a patient at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for intensive therapy as she recovers from the stroke.
Howard, a resident of Patterson, is well known locally as a Family Nurse Practitioner in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Satilla Health. Her husband, Lee, is a trainer at Mossy Pond Retrievers in Offerman.
Friends and co-workers are currently organizing fundraisers to assist the family. The fundraisers include a raffle, t-shirts and an account for medical expenses.
