Special to the WJH Two services are offering free preparation of 2024 federal and state tax returns.
The Waycross Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site at 408 Tebeau Street offers free prep at 9 a.m., Saturdays. Ware County’s UGA Extension Office also provides free return prep.
Service is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each Saturday during tax season at Tebeau Street. Those with household income under $70,000/ year are eligible.

The extension service is offering tax prep at 3225 Harris Road, by appointment. Call (912) 287-2456 to schedule.
Volunteers are certified by the IRS.
