Special to the WJH
The Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless, Inc. (OATH) is staging its annual Hearts for the Homeless fundraising campaign throughout February.
The campaign culminates in a “lunch and learn” session from noon to 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 28 at the C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendelton Street.
All local church leaders, church groups, civic clubs, individuals and groups working to make a difference in our community are invited to attend to and learn about OATH’s efforts to address homelessness in the Okefenokee region, volunteer opportunities and ongoing initiatives.
Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions and interactive exhibits designed to shed light on the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.
Speakers will include individuals with lived experiences and local advocates who are passionate about making a change.
