Driggers, Adams receive certificates

Clement A. Evans Camp # 64 Sons Of Confederate Veterans held their annual Lee / Jackson dinner Saturday, January 18th at Captain Joe’s.

Commander Brantley Thrift swore in new member Jerry Driggers, followed by keynote speaker Chris “Turtleman” Adams. Adams presented an oral history of Life on the homefront during the Civil War including tales of survival when necessities became scarce and driving cattle out of Florida.

After the oratory, 7th Brigade Commander Hamp Tatum of the Georgia Division SCV presented Adams with a certificate of appreciation for historic preservation work and his community work in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
