Clinton Barnwell “Clint” Griffin, 88, of Waycross, passed away late Sunday evening, February 2, 2025, at his residence in Waycross.
Born in Hoboken, June 25, 1936, he lived in Ware County since the late 1970s. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam theater. He would go on to retire from Flash Foods as an auditor after 24.5 years of service. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf and participating in golf tournaments. He also enjoyed gardening, especially rose bushes, and reading.
He was a son of the late Aaron William and Agnes Lucille Crosby Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Roberson Griffin; a sister, Beatrice Blalock and six brothers, Morris, Glynn, Ronald, Larry, Lannis and Donald Griffin.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Griffin, Waycross; his son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Diane Griffin, Blackshear; a sister, Janice (Larry) Evans, Dupont; two brothers, Kenneth Griffin, Blackshear and Jerry (Susie) Griffin, Offerman and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Mr. Griffin will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bill Young officiating.
Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery with full military honors.
