Night to Shine set for Feb. 7 at FBC

Pierce County’s firstever Night to Shine, a prom for teens and adults with special needs, will be held Friday, Feb. 7.

ONE CHURCH will host the Night to Shine for the South Georgia area from 6-9 p.m. that evening at the MAC Building at First Baptist Church, 670 East Main Street, Blackshear.

ONE CHURCH includes First Baptist Church and Destination Church of Blackshear and Zion Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Millwood.

Night to Shine was started by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Tebow is a devoted Christian and a former standout quarterback for the University of Florida. The event is held every year on the Friday before Valentine’s Day.

The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Night to Shine features a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, gifts, a catered dinner, a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, dancing and a crowning ceremony where every guest is honored as a King or a Queen - the way God sees them each and every day.
