Twenty-nine Enriched Sunday School Class members of Blackshear First Baptist Church launched their Christmas Season by fellowshipping at Blackshear’s popular J Leonard’s Restaurant.
Class member Vickie Vincent and her husband Blair “unwrapped” the joy of the season for their friends, planning a holiday meal of special taste and the gladness of fellowship in the restaurant. The historic home, known as the Brantley Mansion on Main Street, offered a traditional Christmas setting in decorations with many lighted trees and garlands.

The class honored her with a holiday gift in appreciation of her “outstanding Bible teaching.” Other class members bowed their heads in worship as class member, the Rev. Joe Thigpen, asked a blessing including all of their members’ heartfelt expressions of gratitude. Adding to the fun the Vincents gave out door prizes. Special guests welcomed were wellknown Pierce Countians Sue and Darrell Thomas.
