Special to the WJH The Ware County Bicentennial Committee has been working diligently for months to create and present the free community celebration festivities which will be held this weekend at the Okefenokee Agricultural Fairgrounds, 2401 Knight Avenue, Waycross.

The festivities begin Friday December 13 at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Live music from Pinebox Dwellers, Uncle Dave Griffin and Page Brothers begins at 7 p.m. on the main stage. Food trucks and vendors will be available all weekend.

Saturday, December 14 kicks off with an appearance by United States Senator Raphael Warnock at 10 a.m.

Festivities continue throughout the day, concluding with a special appearance from the popular country music trio Chapel Hart and a fabulous fireworks display.

Sunday, December 15 will begin at 1 p.m. United States Congressman Buddy Carter will be followed by presentations from members of the clergy and local gospel choirs. The celebration will conclude at 5:00 pm.
