Waycross Mayor Michael-Angelo James (left) joins District 176 Georgia House Rep. James Burchett (R-Waycross) during the City Commission meeting Tuesday, November 19, for the presenation to Shawn Sanders of a copy of the General Assembly’s resolution honoring the late Sgt. Kennedy Ladon Sanders for her military and civic service. Rep. John Corbett (R-Lake Park) co-sponsored the resolution, which was read into the House record in February shortly after Sanders’ death in a January 28 drone attack on her U.S. Army base in remote Jordan.
