A Waycross man was injured Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on Corridor Z while trying to cross the highway.
James Barnard, 54, was hit October 25 by a white Ford Fusion driven by Lamorris Bethea, 23, also of Waycross. Bethea was traveling east on Corridor Z and did not see Barnard, according to the report read by Waycross Police Department Capt. Benji Hersey.
The report said Barnard was wearing dark colored clothing. The report also indicated he was not crossing in the state crosswalk.
Barnard was transported to Memorial Satilla Health following the accident.
Bethea was found not at fault by law enforcement following the investigation.
