Information about the UNESCO World Heritage Site bid related to the Okefenokee Swamp was incorrect in a story in the August 21 edition of the Waycross Journal-Herald.
The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge has been on the WHS tentative list since 1982, not the Swamp Park.
The WJH staff regrets the confusion this may have caused.
