Scott Chapel United Methodist Church will celebrate its 162nd anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. The theme is “Because of the Goodness of God”. The church is located at 420 Highway Avenue, Blackshear. The Rev. Dr. Dargenae’ N. Patterson is the pastor. Members of the anniversary committee include Mattie T. Daniels, Committee Chairperson Dr. Rodney P. McClendon, Committee Vice-Chairperson, Beatrice Carter, Charles Daniels and Lisa Daniels Keith.
